The Statue of Liberty design on this pen is not a colored decal or painting. It is made of stabilized Holly Wood pieces laser cut to precise dimensions. Stabilizing ensures color stability throughout pieces and makes the wood rock hard. The pieces are placed and secured to the blue maple barrel by hand and then turned to shape on a lathe. Six coats of finish are applied and polished for a smooth look and feel.

The pen shown is the high quality Sierra smooth operating click type, without the click sound. It is finished in gunmetal and chrome and comes with a Parker style medium ballpoint, black refill available at most office supply stores.
