The individual stripes and 50 stars are assembled by hand onto Slimline style pen hardware. The 59 pieces of dyed, stabilized maple wood are laser cut to precise dimensions so that no fillers are used in the assembly process. Stabilizing is a process which dyes the wood throughout its entire depth and makes it rock hard.

After carefully turning to shape on a lathe, the barrel is sanded to 600 grit and six coats of CA finish are applied and polished. The result is a long lasting, smooth look and feel, which will last many years
