The white acrylic is accentuated by the inner brass tube to provide pleasing gold highlights. A photograph cannot convey accurately the complex color and depth of the barrel. It is turned to shape on a lathe and wet sanded with abrasives to 1200 grit. Then six coats of acrylic finish are applied and buffed to a high shine.

The pen shown is the high quality Sierra twist with a 24K gold and black finish. It comes with a medium ballpoint, black Parker style refill available at most office supply stores.
