The caduceus design, the symbol of medicine, is made of stabilized Holly wood, cut to precise dimensions to fit perfectly into the blue barrel. No fillers were used in the assembly process. Then the barrel is turned to shape on a lathe, sanded to 600 grit and 6 coats of CA finish are applied and polished to a high sheen.

The pen shown is a Sierra twist with a 24K gold and black finish. Included is a medium ballpoint, black Parker style ink cartridge. Refills available at most office supply stores or on line.
