The design on this pen is not a colored decal or painting, but 20 dyed and stabilized Maple wood components for the inlay, which are fitted around the barrel and glued with high strength epoxy. The barrel and parts of this pen are laser cut for a perfect fit. Stabilizing ensures color stability throughout the entire depth and makes the pieces rock hard. The barrel is sanded to 600 grit and 6 coats of CA finish are applied and polished to a high shine.

The pen shown is a high quality Sierra twist with a chrome and black finish. Included is a black, medium point Parker style ink cartridge. Refills are available at most office supply stores or on line.
