The design on this pen is not a colored decal or painting, but a wood inlay. The barrel and parts of this pen are laser cut from stabilized dyed Maple wood for a perfect fit, without the use of fillers to eliminate gaps. Stabilizing ensures color stability throughout the entire depth and makes the pieces rock hard. The barrel is sanded to 600 grit and 6 coats of finished are applied and polished to a high, smooth luster.

The pen shown is the high quality Sierra twist with a 24K gold and black finish. It comes with a Parker style medium ballpoint, black refill available at most office supply stores.
