The barrel is turned to shape on a lathe and sanded through multiple grits to 600 grit. Six coats of very durable CA finish are applied and buffed to a high sheen that will last for many years.

The hardware is the high quality Sierra twist finished in 24K gold and black. Included is a black, medium point Parker style ink cartridge, available at most office supply stores and on line.
